College Scholarship
Supporting members of our church family as they pursue higher education. Applications are reviewed twice yearly.
Apply nowEligibility
- Active membership and participation at The Glade Church (worship, Bible study, etc.) for at least six months prior to applying.
- Accepted to an accredited college, university or accredited institution of higher learning (this can be a trade school) as a full-time or part-time student.
- Returning students must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the two most recent semesters.
Retention requirements
- Maintain enrollment at an accredited institution for the duration of the scholarship period.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher each semester to qualify for renewal.
- Submit current grades to the Business Administrator as soon as available at semester's end (by December 31); a certified transcript is required at year's end.
- The scholarship is automatically terminated upon conviction of a felony, DUI, or other substance abuse offense.
How to apply
- Complete all sections of the application. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
- Seal the application and all required documents in an envelope and deliver to the Business Administrator at the The Glade Church office.
- Students must re-apply each year in June and/or Scholarships awarded are only good for one year.
Standard deadline
June 15 — 12:00 noon
Mid-year deadline
December 31 — 12:00 noon
Scholarship disbursement
- Half of the scholarship is disbursed at the time it is awarded.
- The remaining half is sent directly to your institution once grades are received by the Business Administrator — no later than December 20 to process before year's end. Payments received after that date will be sent in January.

Letter of recommendation from a Glade Church staff member or lay leader
Brief paragraph describing your intended program of study and major
Complete mailing address of your institution (for scholarship disbursement)
