Student Ministry Seder Meal
Middle school, high school students, and leaders, join us for a Seder Meal Experience as we explore the deep connections between the Passover meal and Jesus' sacrifice. This special gathering will help us prepare our hearts for Good Friday, as we reflect on God's faithfulness and the story of redemption.
Date: Friday, April 18 - 5:00–6:30 PM
Location: Student Life Center
Space is limited – RSVP Closed -- email Jeremy Echols to be on the waiting list.
This meal will take place before our Good Friday service at 7:00 PM, making it a meaningful step of spiritual preparation.
What to Expect:
- Hands-on teaching about the Seder meal and its meaning
- A shared meal with friends and leaders
- A chance to reflect on faith and the story of redemption
- This is a symbolic meal, not a banquet, so come ready to engage with the meaning behind each element
Space is limited! RSVP by Sunday April 13th // RSVP Closed -- email Jeremy Echols to be on the waiting list.
At the Seder Meal Experience, students will taste symbolic foods that help tell the story of God's redemption. Matzah represents the haste of the Israelites' escape from Egypt, bitter herbs remind us of the suffering of slavery, and charoset—a sweet apple mixture—symbolizes the mortar used in their labor. Each element points to a deeper truth, ultimately connecting to the sacrifice of Jesus. This is a meaningful time of reflection, not a banquet meal, as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday.
